Buffet Runners keep buffet stations stocked, attractive and ready throughout meal service. This active role requires speed, organization and close communication with the kitchen and service teams to maintain food quality, presentation and guest satisfaction.
You will be employed by Sicon Revan and assigned to one of our client properties in Aruba. Sicon Revan manages your employment contract, payroll, confirmed benefits and placement support. The client’s name and complete assignment details will be shared with suitable candidates during the selection process.
Responsibilities
- Transport prepared food from the kitchen to buffet stations safely and promptly.
- Replenish food, plates, utensils, napkins, condiments and other buffet supplies.
- Monitor food levels, presentation and serving utensils and communicate quality or temperature concerns promptly.
- Remove empty trays and return dishes and equipment to the appropriate areas.
- Answer basic guest questions and refer ingredient or allergy-related questions to the appropriate team member.
Must Have
- Valid Aruba work permit or Dutch passport.
- Availability for rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift and carry food trays, plates and supplies safely.
- Comfort working quickly around hot food, kitchen equipment and busy guest areas.
- Conversational English sufficient to communicate with guests and team members.
Nice to have
- Previous hotel, resort, buffet, banquet or restaurant experience.
- Food-handler or hygiene certification.
- Experience working in a high-volume food-service environment.
- Papiamento, Spanish or Dutch.
