Guest Service Technician (Engineer)

Guest Service Technicians support the property’s engineering and maintenance operations by responding to service requests in guest rooms and public areas. This technical, guest-facing role requires practical troubleshooting skills, safe work habits and professional communication throughout every service visit.
You will be employed by Sicon Revan and assigned to one of our client properties in Aruba. Sicon Revan manages your employment contract, payroll, confirmed benefits and placement support. The client’s name and complete assignment details will be shared with suitable candidates during the selection process.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests in guest rooms and public areas.
- Diagnose problems and complete minor plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning, fixture, furniture and equipment repairs within the limits of assigned training and authorization.
- Perform preventive-maintenance inspections and routine servicing tasks.
- Communicate clearly with guests, minimize disruption and confirm that reported concerns have been addressed.
- Complete work orders accurately and report problems requiring specialized repair or additional support.

Coordinate service updates with front desk, housekeeping and other property departments.
Must Have
- Valid Aruba work permit or Dutch passport.
- Previous general-maintenance, facilities or technical-service experience.
- Practical troubleshooting skills and basic knowledge of common building systems.
- Professional English sufficient to communicate with guests and understand technical and safety instructions.
- Availability for rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to walk, bend, climb ladders and lift or move tools, equipment and materials safely.

Ability to use hand and power tools responsibly and follow established safety procedures.
Nice to have
- Previous hotel, resort or hospitality-maintenance experience.
- Technical training or certification in maintenance, electrical systems, plumbing, refrigeration or air conditioning.
- Experience working with multiple maintenance areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry.
- Experience using digital work-order or maintenance-management systems.
