Spa & Fitness Attendants help maintain a clean, hygienic, organized and welcoming fitness environment that meets the high standards expected in luxury hospitality. The primary responsibility is to ensure that the gym, exercise equipment, restrooms and surrounding areas remain in excellent condition throughout the shift.
This position requires more than completing routine cleaning tasks. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices small details, demonstrates professionalism and understands the importance of maintaining an exceptional environment for guests. A positive attitude, willingness to receive training and commitment to continuous improvement are essential.
You will be employed by Sicon Revan and assigned to one of our client properties in Aruba. Sicon Revan manages your employment contract, payroll, confirmed benefits and placement support. The client's name and complete assignment details will be shared with suitable candidates during the selection process.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop and maintain gym floors to ensure a clean, safe and presentable environment.
- Clean and sanitize fitness machines, exercise equipment and frequently touched surfaces according to established hygiene standards
- Clean, sanitize and maintain restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors and fixtures
- Monitor the fitness area continuously and address cleanliness concerns throughout the shift
- Keep exercise equipment, accessories and designated areas properly organized and neatly presented
- Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate courtesy and respect when interacting with guests and colleagues
- Identify and report damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, safety hazards or unusual conditions
- Follow daily cleaning schedules, checklists and quality standards consistently
- Respond positively to feedback, participate in training and continuously improve work performance
Must Have
- Valid Aruba work permit or Dutch passport.
- Previous experience in professional cleaning, housekeeping, fitness facility maintenance or a similar service environment, or a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to cleanliness, hygiene and presentation
- Professional appearance, positive attitude and respectful behavior toward guests and colleagues
- Ability to perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility
- Basic English communication skills sufficient to understand instructions and interact courteously with guests and team members
- Availability to work the 12:00 PM–9:00 PM shift, including weekends and holidays when scheduled
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel, resort, spa, fitness center or similar hospitality environment
- Experience cleaning and sanitizing gym machines, fitness equipment and shared guest facilities
- Familiarity with professional cleaning products, hygiene procedures and workplace safety standards
- Previous training in hospitality service standards
- A demonstrated interest in professional development and career growth within hospitality
